Collective leader efficacy (CLE) is a shared conviction among a school leadership team that they can improve the learning environment for all students. Unfortunately, many school leadership teams lack that conviction because they never took time to be intentional about their focus. In this presentation, Peter DeWitt, E.D. provides the research, explains the drivers, and engages participants in the cycle of inquiry that will help leadership teams develop collective leader efficacy as a leadership team.
By the end of this presentation, you will be able to:
- Define Collective Leader Efficacy (CLE)
- Reflect on ways that you and your school leaders build CLE
- Define the drivers for school leadership teams
- Consider how your school leaders can use a cycle of inquiry to develop a theory of action
- Build coherence between their school leadership team meetings and what they practice in their schools
- Consider next steps in your process as a leader
